About Bishop's Waltham.....

With a foot in the South Downs National Park and located at the mid point of a long-established route between Winchester and Portsmouth, Bishop’s Waltham has long been a place to stop and relax.

From the impressive ruins of the medieval Bishop of Winchester’s Palace to the numerous listed buildings of the town centre, history is everywhere.  The medieval high street is remarkably well preserved with an excellent range of shops, cafés, restaurants and salons.

Shopping and eating is complemented by miles of walking and cycling trails. Visitors can choose from wandering through nature reserves, meandering along riversides and discovering the former Meon Valley railway line.

The friendliness of Bishop’s Waltham combined with its strong sense of community has resulted in a calendar bursting with events. From the annual yarn bombing to its vibrant summer carnival, vintage markets and the annual Christmas Fayre, there are many reasons to Love Bishop’s Waltham!

PUZZL

This is a quiz with a difference!  Have a look and you’ll see why.

Everyone should be able to do some of it.  A few might even complete it. There are one or two clues which need someone from an “older generation” to know the answers.  If you solve it, there are cash prizes of up to £20.  You will need to find how to submit your answers within the quiz itself.  You have a few months to go . . . . . .

The author, Robert Shields, accepts no responsibility for any mental anguish caused!
